Most artists, even some successful ones, have to keep looking for work and new avenues all the time. You might not end up doing exactly the art you set on doing, but you also might find that the art you do is still very exciting. Commercially, be flexible.
Its a tough marketplace, Just keep looking forward.
In the late 70's, I spent 5 years in art school(fine arts & photography. When I got out it was such a let down. I ended up doing board work for IBM in a cellar with no windows for $3.75 an hour. Keep drawing ... your most powerful images will come while you're young. But,!! don't forget to keep a secret notebook of images of where you want to see yourself and visit it daily.

I agree. I sometimes feel limited by what RIT taught me. Not to say I didn't learned anything, I just feel kind of gypped.
